STEMGuyana Culture & Expectations

• This engagement is purely voluntary and does not offer payment of any kind.  Snacks at our learning pods will be provided.
• You are subject to provide our team with a police clearance (if requested)
• All children should be encouraged, loved and treated with respect
• We would like our children to be confident, and to be able to communicate effectively.  We also want them to understand that failure is part of the process.  In all things we encourage our children not to give up.

  (Note: Click on register, enter simple username (phone) and simple password)
  On profile page, Select “Learning Pods” and “Volunteer” and complete as much of the form as possible
  Once registered, test your login (enter usernane & password)
  Click on lessons and review the lesson plans enteredWhat is expected of you?

• Please arrive at location at least 1/2 hr before classes begin
• Check in with club leader
• Help to setup location (projectors, laptops, tablets) if needed
• Club leader will separate students into grade level groups
• Please help students to get to their lesson plans, monitor them as they read, help them if they struggle with reading
• Ensure that they complete the lesson questions (write in their notebooks)
• Ensure that they understand the concept
• Monitor them as they work on their animation projects
• Ensure that they click [attendance] on app and click [Completed] on the lesson plans
• Students earn points for attendance and for completing lesson plans
